The objectives of the BAUHAUS4EU European University Alliance

The ten partner universities wish to support the sustainable and inclusive development of their regions through international and multilateral cooperation. To this end, current regional challenges are shared within the network and jointly addressed through innovative teaching, research and exchange formats. The alliance is founded on the complementary expertise of the universities and their regional partners: the themes and values of the European initiative on the "New European Bauhaus" ("Beautiful, Sustainable, Together") are its foundation.

Against this backdrop, the BAUHAUS4EU European University Alliance will be promoting the international mobility of its students, teachers, researchers and staff. A wide range of formats will be offered to enable as many university members as possible to enjoy experiences tailored to their interests abroad in Europe. Hybrid Erasmus courses are offered on a regular basis, and the development of joint training offers is encouraged.

In June 2023, the Alliance was awarded the European Commission's Seal of Excellence for its proposal under the "European Universities" initiative.
