Do you want to enroll at UPJV and not part of an exchange program?
Then you must first apply to the University of Picardie Jules Verne. Like all students, you must follow a specific schedule and application process, depending on your profile.- You are an international student residing in France and do not hold a French baccalaureate (A levels / high school diploma), you wish to apply for the first year of a bachelor's degree (or LAS) or PASS: you must download and complete the green application form (= dossier vert) on the website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
- If you are a citizen of a European Union country : to apply for the first year of a bachelor's degree, you must submit your application on the Parcoursup platform. To apply for the second or third year of a bachelor's degree, or the second year of a master's degree, you must apply on the e-candidat platform.
- If you are an international student residing abroad, preparing for or holding a diploma giving access to higher education in your country of origin : you must download and complete the white application form (= dossier blanc) on the website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Also, if you are from a country that has a Campus France office : apply through Études en France.
- If you are from a country that does not have a Campus France office : if you are a European Union citizen, a French national, or a holder of a foreign degree, or if your nationality is not included in the list of Campus France countries : submit your application on the e-candidat platform.
Important : if you are a non-European citizen, you may be subject to differentiated fees, which were introduced at the start of the 2018/2019 academic year.

If your university is a partner of UPJV (through Erasmus+, ISEP, or through a bilateral agreement), you can apply for a study period at UPJV - enjoying significant advantages compared to individual mobility.
Benefits of mobility through an exchange program :
- Exemption from registration fees at UPJV = You pay tuition fees at your home university only.
- Academic recognition = Your study period at UPJV will count toward your degree program at your home university. Completed courses are recognized through the ECTS credit system.
- Potential mobility grant = Depending on your program and situation, you may be eligible for a grant to support your international experience.
How to prepare your application ?
We invite you to follow these steps :
Step 1 = Contact your home university’s International Relations Office !
Check your eligibility and get guidance on the UPJV program that best fits your academic and professional background. You will also be asked to contact the International Relations academic coordinator for your field of study at your home university.Step 2 = Prepare your application file !
If selected for a study period at UPJV under Erasmus+, ISEP, or a bilateral exchange program, your home university will officially nominate you. An application file to complete will then be sent to you by email.
The application file includes :- The application form (sent by email from UPJV’s International Relations Office). Save and print the PDF form provided and return it to UPJV.
- The Learning Agreement = With the help of your home coordinator, complete the online Learning Agreement and send it to UPJV’s International Relations Office for validation. This document must be signed by both you and your international coordinator.
- The accommodation reservation form = If you wish to apply for a room in a university residence, please complete the accommodation reservation form sent directly by email by the International Relations Office :
- Before June 1st for the first semester or the full academic year
- Before November 1st for the second semester - Registration form for French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses
The French as a Foreign Language Center (FLE) at University of Picardie Jules Verne offers free French refresher beginner and advanced courses to international exchange students (4-5 hours per week, 8 ECTS).
To register, include the completed registration form in your application file. This form will be sent to you by UPJV’s International Relations Office (also called « DRI »).
Please note : At the time of application, a minimum B1 level in French is required (certified by a letter or statement from your university or by an official language test).
Step 3 = Submitt your application !

Preparing your visa according to your nationality
- EEA Citizens (EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) : No student visa required. You must have health coverage (European Health Insurance Card) and sufficient financial resources.
- Citizens of Turkey, the UK, North Macedonia or non-European countries : A student visa is required. Contact the French Embassy in your country for the application procedure.
