E.SENSE students are joining the program !

E.SENSE students start the new academic year!

Last Wednesday, the entire E.SENSE team had the pleasure of welcoming the new cohort of students joining the E.SENSE (Energy Storage SciENce for Sustainable arEas) journey.

Coming from scientific programs at the University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), the University of Artois, and the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale, both new and returning students—along with our PhD candidates—had the opportunity to meet during the E.SENSE induction day. The event featured a presentation on the history of energy, its interactions with society, and the major innovations that have shaped its evolution. This initial session complemented the presentation of the E.SENSE project itself, giving everyone a better understanding of its origins, objectives, and the challenges it addresses. It served as an excellent introduction to the importance of understanding energy in all its forms in order to better tackle the challenges of the energy transition.

Joining E.SENSE will allow them to take this approach further by combining extended laboratory immersion, guest sessions with partners, skills-based modules, and various events—experiences that will enrich their core academic training.

Finally, the day concluded on a fun, competitive note with a quiz session, giving everyone a chance to get to know one another and forge initial connections.
