1er Thematic Workshop “Storage Sciences” :

As part of bringing together researchers from the A2U Alliance, we met on Thursday, June 11 at the Citadelle campus of the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) for the first E.SENSE in-person workshop on Energy Storage Sciences, with a focus on electrochemical, thermal and hydrogen storage.

Like the previous workshop on “Sustainable Transformation and Current and New Uses”, the objectives were to:

  • Encourage interdisciplinary discussions between A2U laboratories;
  • Present the projects co-funded by E.SENSE in the field of energy storage;
  • Strengthen the links between artificial intelligence and energy through the presentation of the MAIA A2U project.

Programme:

Presentation of the projects funded by E.SENSE:

  • Laurent Zalewski (LGCgE): Characterization of thermal storage materials using the thermodynamics of irreversible processes
  • Hélène Tonnoir (LRCS): Characterization of electrode inks for Li-ion batteries

Presentations by the E.SENSE-labelled PhD student and E.SENSE scholarship students:

  • Valentino Serrière-Piton (LRCS) (PhD Student): Detailed study of recycled black mass materials using electron microscopy and related techniques (FIABLE)
  • Ilyana Merlen (LRCS) (E.SENSE Master’s student): New slurry formulations for 3D printing of batteries
  • Timothée Baillou (LG2A) (E.SENSE Master’s student): Columnar supramolecular assembly of perylenes functionalized with non-conjugated redox-active substituents

Other presentation:

  • Matthieu Becuwe (LRCS): Organic alternative for ionic batteries

A big thank you to Carine Davoisne, Adlane Sayede and Gérard Leroy for organizing and leading this workshop. Thanks also to all the speakers and participants for their presence and involvement.
