MESC+ 'Materials For Energy Storage & Conversion +' labelled by Erasmus+ as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree from 2018 to 2024

The MESC+ Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree is a 2-year programme in Materials Science and Electrochemistry, fully taught in English, involving 5 Universities in 4 European countries (France, Poland, Slovenia and Spain), 2 Universities in USA and Australia, a European Research Institute (ALISTORE), the French Network on Energy Storage (RS2E), the Slovenian National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) and a leading Research Center in Spain (CIC Energigune).

It is run by a number of world-renowned members of Research Laboratories in the field of energy-related materials who work closely together through several European and trans-European projects.

What is MESC+?


The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree 'Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion +' "MESC+" is designed to provide a 2-year (120 ECTS) education program in Materials Science and Electrochemistry. The Universities offering MESC+ Master's course are UPJV Amiens (France), WUT Warsaw (Poland), UPS Toulouse (France), EHU/UPV Bilbao (Spain) and UL Ljubljana (Slovenia). DREXEL University (Phialdelphia, USA) and DEAKIN University (Geelong, Australia) participate actively in the implementation of MESC+ as associated partners.
MESC+ was created on the basis of the former MESC Erasmus Mundus Master Course but it was completely rebuilt to respond to the new challenges of the Energy field and labour market.

  • First call for student applications
    The first intake of MESC+ Erasmus Mundus JMD will start in September 2019. The first call for student applications will be opened from 10 November 2018 to 28 February 2019, for students who want to apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. A second call for student applications will be opened from 1st March to 10 April for students willing to join MESC+ as self-funding students. Ten years of MESC

We collected some relevant information about employability among all the MESC graduates. The important feedback we received allowed us to gather all these data in an ALUMNI YEARBOOK and also to extract the figures to make an ANALYSIS of more than 10 years of running an Erasmus Mundus Master Course.
