Short Biography

  Ardalan Aarabi is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Picardy Jules Verne (UPJV), where he has been since October 2012. He earned his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from Shiraz University (Iran) in 1995 and his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering (Bioelectrics) from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in 1999. Subsequently, he obtained his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from University of Picardy Jules Verne (Amiens, France) in 2007. From 2008 to 2012, he held research positions at University of Manitoba (MB, CA), Department of Electrical Engineering (2008-2009), University of Minnesota (MN, USA), Department of Biomedical Engineering (2010-2011), and University of Pittsburgh (PA, USA), Bioengineering Department (2011-2012). In September 2019, he was awarded a Habilitation degree (HDR) in Neuroscience from University of Picardy Jules Verne. His research interests include medical signal and image processing, machine learning, computational modelling of brain dynamics, and functional and structural connectivity analysis of brain networks in healthy adults and children, as well as in patients with neurological disorders.
