Travail de recherche :

Afin de tester les molécules à visée antipaludique et/ou antibiotique synthétisées dans le laboratoire, différents outils sont mis en place :

• produits à visée antipaludique : recherche de l’activité inhibitrice de la formation de β-hématine, recherche de l’activité inhibitrice des voies auxiliaires de dégradation de l’hémine par le peroxyde d’hydrogène et le glutathion ;
• produits à visée antibiotique : constitution d’une collection de souches de Pseudomonas aeruginosa (prélèvements cliniques) sensibles et résistantes aux fluoroquinolones, recherche du mécanisme de résistance de ces souches, détermination des concentrations minimales inhibitrice des nouvelles molécules sur souches sensibles et résistantes aux fluoroquinolones.

Dans un avenir proche, nous souhaitons également mettre en place la culture in vitro de Plasmodium falciparum afin de pouvoir évaluer localement l’effet de nos produits mais aussi d’étudier par biologie moléculaire d’autres points d’impact potentiels de nos produits sur le métabolisme du parasite.
